There are different types of cards, you can get a student card that costs 119 zł per month and allows you to go there anytime, stay as long as you want and take part in all fitness classes. The classes vary from aerobics to yoga and dancing Manufaktura

Open-air ice rink opens every winter at Manufaktura, 9zł per 1h, skates rent included.

Indoors ice rink is in Sports Hall at
28 Stefanowskiego St. and at 13b Popiełuszki St. (Retkinia district, end of tram lines 10, 12 and 14).

Ski & snowboard

Yes! You can ski and snowboard near Łódź, on a slope of a great open-pit coal mine close to Bełchatów; coach transport

Łagiewniki forest

the biggest urban forest in Europe; trekking paths, lake with a boat rental, horse riding club, baroque Franciscan monastery and two old wooden chapels. For exploration, a map would be recommended (available at tourist information point; there are map boards in the forest, too); get there with the bus line 51 from the stop next to the Academy.


Łódź has a lot of parks, some of them are as old as the city itself
and protected as heritage. Among the most interesting ones are:
Park Zdrowie – Łódź largest park with broad avenues, a ZOO, botanical garden, amusement park and ‘Fala’ aquapark
Park Źródliska – the oldest park with a palm house and the Museum of Cinematography
Park Poniatowskiego – nicely composed with a pond and an island, has a bicycle park and tennis courts
Park Julianowski – beautifully landscaped park, originally with a palace demolished during the World War II.
