From the catalogue

Travel means changing of the place and most often leads to exchange of the views, ideas, feelings and things. In natural way it agrees with exploration, experiencing something new and interesting.

Exploration is a wide understood process of learning which concludes with development of own abilities and contributes towards expanding travellers’ horizons.

Erasmus Programme is the promoter of higher education students and staff mobility. It supports also participation of polish universities in the common European educational projects. The aim of this activity is creation of the open education space for those who want to develop in the many planes and who would like to share their knowledge not only at the home universities. Academy of Fine arts and Design in Łódź is wide open for such activity and would like to deeply participate in it. For these reasons we joined the Erasmus Programme which enables us to take part in the process of the exchange on the large scale. All of our bilateral agreements with European institutions of higher education put emphasis on cooperation in the field of students and teacher exchange.

During this academic year the most talented students of our Academy could officially undertake a study period abroad. In return for it ASP in Łódź has given hospitality to the foreign students. Erasmus exchange gives to many polish students the only chance to develop their own independence by living abroad.

Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Łódź with its 4 faculties and many workshops presents wide spectrum in the field of artistic education. Students interested in artistic and design courses could find answers for many important problems.

Our first quests within the framework of the Erasmus Programme are students from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal, Great Britain. During the winter semester 12 students carried out the artistic work in the different workshops of our Academy.

The first exhibition presents works of Erasmus students which have been created during their study period at ASP in Łódź. Varity of their exhibits results from individual preferences our quests.
